The USWRA's Top 100 for Closed Course Racing.  Throughout the year we will be rating the USWRA Riders.  We have assigned points based on the following criteria:  If a Class has 0-5 Riders, standard IJSBA points system apply (ie. 60-0).  If a Class has 6-10 Riders in a Class, then the standard IJSBA points system apply with a multiplier of 3% is calculated in.  If a Class has 11-18 Riders in a Class, then standard IJSBA points system apply with a multiplier of 5% is calculated in.  This gives more weight to a Rider who has participated in a Class with more riders.

06/14/04 News:  As part of the USWRA Triple Crown Challenge for each round we will be awarding 1.5 points in addition to the already pro-rated points.  This equates to a much larger points system being awarded for each of the USWRA Triple Crown Challenge Rounds/Events.  For Region 3, we will be awarding the same 1.5 points scale to the last race of the season at Howard Amon Park at Richland, WA as part of the Washington State Championships.

07/28/04 News:  The USWRA Closed Course Top100 has recently been updated.  With the season winding down for most regions and World Finals only 65 days away, the 2004 season is slowly coming to an end.  Many USWRA Top100 rankings are becoming a tight points battle for the top spots for many different classes.  For many riders across the country they may only have 1 race on the 2004 schedule left to increase their 2004 USWRA Top100 Ranking.  And for many riders, that final race of the season will have a 1.5x normal points for a chance to increase their rankings as well.  In Region 3, on Sept. 18th & 19th the Washington State Championships in Howard Amon Park, Richland, Washington will have 1.5x points awarded.  In Region 6, the 2nd stop of the USWRA Triple Crown Challenge on Aug. 8th in Muskegon, Michigan will have 1.5x points awarded.  In Region 9, the 3rd and final stop of the USWRA Triple Crown Challenge on Sept. 5th, at Pleasant Hill, Iowa will have 1.5x points awarded.  For the World Finals in October, the USWRA will be awarding 2.0x (double) points for all USWRA riders who qualify and participate.  Note:  We also have decided to take the rider's top 6 rounds in points in determining their respective USWRA Top100 ranking.  For a few riders in Region 3, they had accumulated 10 rounds of points.  I knocked down their points to their best 6 rounds to bring their respective points total down in line with the other Regions.  Many other Regions across the country have Round 6 in their 2004 season coming up next.  If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me  here

09/24/04 News:  The USWRA Top100 Closed Course Rankings has recently been updated.  This will be the last update for the USWRA Top100 Rankings prior to the World Championships in Lake Havasu City, Arizona -  October 3rd - 10th.  We are still waiting on 2 promoters to send in their final round results, and when I receive them I will update the USWRA Top100 Rankings accordingly.  All 2004 Dos Equis World Finals results will be double points towards the USWRA Top100 Rankings, and will be posted immediately following the conclusion of the 2004 Dos Equis World Finals.
