Okay Good People, here’s your chance to stand up to the no access crowd and help return PWC access to public waterways closed far too long to us.

Simply, every rider needs to click on to the AWA website and send a pre printed comment to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) via the net. Your AWA staff attended the hearings concerning nearly 500,000 acres of water closed to us. The short story is; these are wildlife refuge areas administered by the USFWS, and they are up for review. We spoke with the officials concerned and they’re a great bunch of people. However, they are going to be pounded by the radical no access fringe to keep PWC out of these wildlife refuges.

“Wildlife refuges?” Yep. However, before you start to wonder what your AWA staff is on, just know that every other type of boat is allowed in, including commercial fishing boats.

Most of you would have been shocked at the demeanor and hostility of the “no access” types at these hearings. Nonetheless, you can do something now. Every comment submitted counts. It’s a numbers game. The more pro PWC comments submitted, the more the cover we give USFWS to allow PWC back into these areas where they’ve been prohibited since 1992. It doesn’t matter if you live in North Dakota, this is your water. You own it. Get involved today, and make a stand for the Freedom to Ride.

This issue affects all riders. Just because you don’t live in FLA. doesn’t mean you won’t ever ride there. This is an issue about riding… this is an issue of freedom.

Go to
www.awahq.org click on “grassroots activism” and then hit the top item; “Lower Keys Refuge” Fill out your name and address in the fields, and send that mo.’

Do it now. It’ll take you 2.3 minutes if you read the comment you’re sending. Next, get every other rider you know to send a comment as well. Then get your family to submit one. These areas belong to everyone… not just the few. If we stand together, we win.
